Werner brings to Kiss Holdings, as the Chairmann of the board, a wealth of experience from his illustrious career in investment banking, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions. Since 2008, he has been a senior partner at a leading M&A firm in Mannheim/Frankfurt, demonstrating his expertise in navigating complex financial landscapes.

His professional journey began in a prominent German bank, where he was intricately involved in IPOs and the strategic buying and selling of industrial businesses, directly contributing to the bank’s balance sheet. Werner’s career trajectory took a significant turn when he moved to London, joining a private equity fund management company. Here, his focus was on fundraising and the acquisition of substantial businesses in the UK and across Europe, honing his skills in identifying and capitalising on lucrative investment opportunities.

Werner’s dedication to sustainability and the environment was further solidified during his tenure with a private equity fund manager in Paris, where he spearheaded investments in the environmental sector. His commitment to making a positive impact on the planet led him to a German listed utility company, where, as the head of the Mergers & Acquisitions team, he successfully acquired businesses with transactions totalling in excess of EUR 5 billion.

Subsequently, Werner was appointed managing director of a prominent water and wastewater service provider in the UK, where he applied his extensive knowledge and experience to further the company’s sustainability goals.

With a remarkable track record of more than 250 closed transactions across Europe, the USA, and Asia, Werner’s global perspective and diverse industry experience make him an invaluable asset. His tenure on numerous company boards has endowed him with unparalleled insights into effective governance and strategic leadership.

Holding an M.Sc. in economics from the University of Duisburg, Germany, and with fluency in German, English, and French, Werner is well-equipped to navigate the complexities of international business.

As Kiss Holdings embarks on its pioneering venture to establish a carbon-neutral bioethanol production facility in the UK, Werner’s expertise in strategic investment and his commitment to sustainability will be instrumental in ensuring the success of this ambitious project.
